Lately, On The Blog
I'm a HUGE believer in getting things for free. (Don't mistake that for being cheap - I just believe that you should take the free where you can get it and pay for what you can't get for free. It's smart business.) And when I realized that I could be getting my resources for FREE from Creative Market... I was like, what have I been doing with my life?
Here's the truth: lots of bloggers create epic content. And then... it just sits there. On their blog. Without moving. It gains no traction and it doesn't do its job, which is to help build authority. Right? Any person who creates content on their blog is doing it to generate buzz around that particular topic, and most likely to create authority around their name as an expert in this topic.
I spend too much time on Pinterest. I'm in love with Tailwind because it makes sure that things are going out - even if I'm not on Pinterest, which I should be much less, but instead, I just look up more pictures of pink Converse and VSCO recipes. Anyone else? (Just me?)
You've probably seen quizzes all over. Everyone's doing them! I was trying to use LeadQuizzes for a while, but it sucked, to be honest. Plus, support was terrible. We hardly ever got a helpful response. And we didn't know how to make them pop up in a separate window when clicked. Like, it was a mess. Enter: Interact.
I have a tendency to jump headfirst into really rad things. For example, when I was ready to start a business, my first month I made $5,000+ and literally never stopped working. I throw myself into the things I believe in... but a lot of the time, my enthusiasm gets me in trouble. As in, I forget to take care of my body!
In 2018, I plan to make more time for me, my needs, and my desires. Read on to see 6 things I'm doing in 2018 to be a better businesswoman.
I have an obsession with taping things to the walls. When I was younger, it was Britney Spears posters and glitter tape. Now that I'm older, it's affirmations and washi tape. I'm constantly in the kitchen by my coffee maker (because I have a problem and basically guzzle coffee like it's the last pot I'll ever get) so I have a list of 16 affirmations taped to the wall next to it.
Whether you're in coaching or you're a virtual assistant, every entrepreneur needs mindset work.
Our mindset reflects our core feelings - how we truly see ourselves and how we translate that image into reality.
We're back with another VA 101 post! On Monday, we covered what you should have on your website as a virtual assistant. Today, we'll talk about what skills new virtual assistants can offer and there's even a workbook to help you work through the questions.
I'm going to be writing more for virtual assistants in the future, since I've been doing a ton of mompreneur-related topics lately. I have been through the wringer and back as a virtual assistant and definitely need to teach more of what I know to new virtual assistants! As such, I'll be starting a VA 101 series.
You've probably seen them on websites like Cosompolitan or Buzzfeed. You've taken them and posted the results on Facebook. Your friends have commented and laughed and pointed and shared their own results.
